Interview on Tech Over Tea about fundraising, money, and design

I recently sat down with Brodie Robertson again to appear on his Tech Over Tea show, this time on the subject of KDE’s recent fundraising, the role of money in open-source in general, and also design (I can never resist talking about this). If these topics interest you, check it out!

  1. Thunderbird money.. Programmer full time, making a KDE Plasma so stable like W2K sp5 *bg*
.. fewer memory leaks before kde is released *g* More internal testing before release and setting free to the peoples, i as example can at moment (6.2) only 1x Firefox Window, 2-3 Dolphinwindow and cant start anymore Virtualbox.. or i start Virtualbox and can not make anything in Plasma because the Display of the Virtualbox freece, but i look happy forward to the next release manny things be fixed like i have read πŸ™‚

Because no Krypto, you could make an American or Mexican Club and there can use Krypto and support therefor the International KDE and can use in the State for a working KDE-Group and so on, therewith could you take then outside of Germany these Krypto Money and can working outside of Germany with this Krypto, the problem is only at the German Law, it must be Taxes in a normal Money for calulating … to do the math and Germany just doesn’t like cryptocurrency because it would be dangerous and you would be committing a criminal offense. Like Cryptowallets and so on..

an other thing is, if there a Club outside of German in an other land, is there also other law’s and then could it possible to working with crypto money in my opinion.. so i am an german..

And then would it possible to pay global Programmers and so on..

In my opinion you can have a club or organization in every country and all be in different law in the respective countries …

Mouse single click: hmmm… I think that the double click was from earlier times, I personally prefer to use the double click rather than the single click because it is simply “safer”, but I am an oldie, but if we now look over to Microsoft, Win95 to Win11 we always had a double click… and we also want to have Microsoft users in Linux or in Plasma/KDE, of course, with Apple, it is not surprising that a single click is enough, because there is simply a different way of dealing with the interface, which has been introduced a long time ago, but most people have switched from Windows and therefore you should always be able to set it how you need it or want it, but the standard, for safety, in my opinion should always be a double click, which you can then change as you like… (the rolling lines should also be able to be set up alongside, which has been removed a long time ago, i.e. setting the scroll lines on the mouse, was in my opinion a really good matter..)

and yes, it’s a huge community and not a commerce factory πŸ™‚

Modern : therefor should it possible to adjust diffrent themes in the way where they meant it is modern.. therefor gives themes or something like QTCurve (what should slowly updated for QT6)

Also on the Systemsettings should also give not only breeze, Oxigene, QTCurve or the Redmond95 Theme as surface, it should possible to make different Surfacethemes for diffrent programmers to add like iconthemes or Colorthemes also surfacethemes and thertewith could it also possible to make it “more modern” or more “Retro” like Amiga Surface or maybye a Mac or Apple-Surface where like macs or the past Apple surface.. but it exist only 3-4 Surfaces for KDE/plasma, should exist more .. and should be more easy to make surfaces.. to become more modern or more older Fashion, like the peoples want.. look on the Win95, win2000 or Win10 Surface as a comparison or a old Amiga Surface, there should it make possible to create more easy diffrent Surfaces in any way ..
QTCurve is a greate way to configuring the Surface as the poples want and it exist manny themes for it, this should be more supported and QTCurfe should be a part of the KDE/plasma in my opinion..

Apropo Colors-themes, in my opinion is the Colorconfiguration an bit confus.. in german Language in any case because it say not read correcktly what it is meant with the colors which use.. schould more like Windows or a sirface where be able to clocking on and then select the color to exactly select the right panel or place to set the right color..

was a niiice Video, was nice informations, i thank’s so much for making this movy for know a bit more about KDE and so all what’s the thing of the state.
